It's no secret: big brands are finally taking our hair textures seriously! L'Oréal already made their move, so it was only a matter of time before Schwarzkopf joined the game...
Schwarzkopf, part of the Henkel group, a cosmetics heavyweight after L'Oréal for 111 years, has decided to share its expertise with curly and coily hair by launching its Smooth'n'Shine range. Already available in many retail outlets and hair salons in South Africa, Smooth'N'Shine is arriving in France to try and win over our curls. Shampoo, conditioner, cream, oil, straightening spray, etc., everything seems to be there to take care of one's hair. The products have been available in supermarkets and hypermarkets since January, which promises an affordable price! Well, yeah, if we can combine quality and price, that's great! But let's wait and see about the quality.
I don't have any feedback yet on the effectiveness of the products, and I don't know their composition at all. But I definitely plan to get them to study the range a bit more and tell you more about it. The ingredients are not what's highlighted on these products... And that's what worries me a bit!
I hope that Schwarzkopf's motto "Professional Quality for You" will truly come to life during the test, because we're worth it too! :)
