Natural Ingredients to Combat Acne

Índice

Ugh, breakouts! They have a knack for ruining our mood and our day. And sometimes, they come in multiples! Not to mention they have a way of popping up out of nowhere, like right before a big date. But before you even think about seeing a dermatologist, try out the 100% natural and affordable solutions Zenaba has discovered.

In case of severe acne, we strongly advise you to consult a dermatologist without delay. They will be able to prescribe an appropriate medical treatment. But before that, you can try natural methods.

Lemon

To get rid of blackheads (and stop feeling down), nothing beats good lemon juice! Soak a cotton pad with lemon juice then dab the affected areas. Bactericidal and antiseptic, lemon kills microbes. As a bonus, it cleanses the skin, fades colored spots, and tightens pores.

Garlic

Garlic is a condiment renowned for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties. So, don't hesitate to rub the affected areas with a peeled garlic clove. The only major drawback: its somewhat strong odor! A natural remedy best reserved for the most daring.

Burdock

Burdock is a remarkable plant for treating skin conditions: eczema, boils, psoriasis… and of course, acne! Morning and evening, dab the affected areas with an infusion of burdock roots.

To prepare the infusion: throw 1 good handful of crushed burdock roots into 1 liter of boiling water. Let it steep for about 10 minutes.

Where to find burdock? Pharmacies, herbalists, specialized stores, Internet

Tomato

Tomato proves very effective in fighting acne: it cleanses oily skin (tomato is purifying and disinfecting), brightens the complexion, and promotes healing. Morning and evening, apply tomato slices to the affected areas for about 15 minutes. Then wash your face with a superfatted soap or any other product intended for acne-prone skin.

Other Natural Ingredients to Fight Acne

Green clay: purifying and healing (apply a clay mask once a week)

Aloe vera gel: antiseptic, healing, moisturizing

Hazelnut oil: regulating (regulates excess sebum), purifying

Honey: antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, healing (can be used as a poultice/mask)

Plants: thyme, rosemary (plant infusions can serve as lotions)
